Inspiration: One of my favorite memories when I first came further North was picking wild blueberries in Tioweroton Territory, which is an undeveloped hunting Territory shared by Kahnawake and Kanehsatake. It is an hour North of Kahnawake.
Also, my kids surprisingly love blueberries. My husband not so much. You will rarely find blueberries gone bad in our fridge.
My best friend told me stories of when she and her sisters would pick wild blueberries in Tioweroton and eat most of them on their way back. Their hands had that Northern blueberry scent. So did mine. I handed her one of our first bars. She smelled it and instantly said "Tioweroton."
